Spiritual Life

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:

The PTA would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Ebenezer Preparatory School. We know that you will have a rewarding experience here, as Ebenezer truly is the “school of our choice” for both academic and spiritual excellence. At Ebenezer, the students are encouraged to work hard in order to excel, and they do! As noted in our History Statement, many of our graduates go on to get degrees from highly recognized colleges and universities and make significant contributions to their communities. Those accomplishments come from the educational and spiritual foundation laid by the faculty and staff members here at Ebenezer.

Parents, please be a resource for your child (ren). No one can have the desired influence on the students by themselves: parents; teachers; faculty; we all need to work together to make sure our children are given the best guidance and counsel in order to be successful.

Ebenezer Preparatory School has monthly PTA meetings where we gather to discuss and plan for upcoming events, fundraisers, and spirit days. Attend our monthly meetings and help make our school better! Working with the PTA is your opportunity to:

  • Volunteer
  • Build new student programs
  • Connect with other parents
  • Make your voice heard
  • Be a SUPER-PARENT!
  • Stay Informed

We have successfully coordinated Ebenezer’s Annual Christmas Pageant and Gospel Fest concerts, in addition to our Fish Fry, Culture Day, Chuckie E. Cheese Fundraiser, Wear Red Day, Splash of Pink Day and National School Choice Week. We always welcome new and fun ideas that help us create the best environment for our children and parents.

We leave you with this poem by S.H. Payer, who wrote:

“Be yourself- but be your best self. Dare to be different and to follow your own star.
And don’t be afraid to be happy. Enjoy what is beautiful. Love with all your heart and soul. Believe that those you love, love you.

Forget what you have done for your friends, and remember what they have done for you. Disregard what the world owes you, and concentrate on what you owe the world.

When you are faced with a decision, make that decision as wisely as possible- then forget it. The moment of absolute certainty never arrives.

Above all, remember that God helps those who help themselves. Act as if everything depended upon you, and pray as if everything, depended upon God.

See life as a journey- a path to be explored, and with faith you will get the power to climb all obstacles and beat back doubt and fear.”

We look forward to seeing and working with each of you!

Best regards,

Ebenezer Preparatory School’s Parent Teacher Association
