Ebenezer Preparatory School was founded by the late Pastor Gerson C. Marshall in September, 1981. It is a co-ed, independent, Christian school in Brooklyn, New York, that enrolls students from Nursery to Grade 8. The school is associated with Ebenezer Missionary Chapel, Inc., founded by Pastor Marshall in 1976. As a church sponsored institution, Pastor Marshall believed that children can best develop their potential through daily exposure to the Holy Bible in their varied academic activities. Our motto is, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6.

We are registered with the New York State Department of Education, and our students excel in the New York State and the Stanford Achievement Tests. The majority of our 18 dedicated, exceptional staff members have been employed for at least 10 years. After graduation, our students attend NYC public high schools such as Bard High School Early College, Benjamin Banneker Academy, Brooklyn College Academy, Brooklyn Technical, Bronx High School of Science, City Polytechnic, Edward R. Murrow, Fiorello H. LaGuardia, Fort Hamilton, James Madison, Leon Goldstein, Medgar Evers College Preparatory School, Midwood High School, Queens Gateway to Health Sciences, Science Skills and The Urban Assembly. Many graduates have also earned substantial scholarships to attend private and parochial schools such as Poly Prep Country Day School, Bishop Loughlin, Christ the King and Nazareth Regional High School.

Two graduates from the Class of 2014 are attending Columbia University and The University of Toronto. One graduate from the Class of 2013 earned a full academic scholarship to Syracuse University. The Valedictorian and Salutatorian from the Class of 2010 have graduated from Harvard University and Yale University. Our alumni have completed graduate degrees in business, communications, education, engineering, fashion design, fine arts, law, medicine and the performing arts. They are successfully practicing in their chosen fields.
